6 AMAZING BEACHES IN EUROPE

We have traveled the world in search of the most beautiful stretches of sand. We have visited a host of places, some virtually, some in person, in order to find the ultimate beach paradise. And we did it. And now, it is time to go back home and visit some European beaches that are nothing less than their exotic counterparts. These six ones confirm this.

Cala Tonnatella (Sicily, Italy)

The beach is part of a small bay in Zingaro Nature Reserve in the north-west of Sicily. A wonderful place, surrounded by nature full of specimens of endangered species. The beach path passes through Scopello to the south and there are a few other similar bays along the way. All of them are perfect for diving. It is not even necessary to mention that there are mesmerising views, crystal waters and golden sands.

Praia de Albandeira (Algarve, Portugal)

The things that make this beach truly magnificent in comparison to all the others in the region are its right size, the easy access and Bar O Pirata. And also, the curious rock formations that surround it. One of them is the emblematic Arco de Albandeira, which often finds its way into attracting tourists to Algarve.

Playa de Migjorn (Formentera, Spain)

The beach is located on the biggest of the islands to the south of Ibiza – Formentera. It has been described as one of the most beautiful Balearic beaches in the area, together with Playa Mitron. The region is not overcrowded and one day you are quite likely to find a small bay just for yourself. The beach is a combination of rock formations, grass and deep sand that stretches along the entire southern coastline of the island. It offers wonderful views, lit up by the beach restaurants and bars.

Cala Goloritze (Sardinia, Italy)

Small, but exceptionally beautiful, the beach is located to the south of Cala Biriola in the region of Ogliastra. What is more, the only way to reach this amazingly photogenic stretch of sand is on foot. It takes about an hour of walking to get there and climbing back may take even longer. Every step towards it, however, is absolutely worth it. The water has unique shades of blue and green. Cala Goloritze is undoubtedly an embodiment of paradise in one of its many Mediterranean shapes.

Île de Ré (Bay of Biscay, France)

They also call it the “White Island”, located just off the western coastline of France. The place boasts one of the most beautiful beaches with fine, almost white sand and elegant houses along the coastline. Sand dunes and pine woods are the other additions that the island offers to its visitors.

Zlatni Rat (Brač, Croatia)

The beach is considered to be one of the best places for surfing and kite-surfing in the Adriatic. It is located on the island of Brač and it is part of the town of Bol. The beach itself looks like a Caribbean stretch of sand. Its length is 530 metres and it has a particular triangular shape. It also has the unique quality to change according to the sea level. The perfect place for water sports.
